Enjoy swimming between the sea wall and the dock as there is a good bottom and swim ladders to get up on the dock. The water is approximately 12' deep at the end of the dock and 3' deep at the sea wall. Launch your boat from the ramp on property and leave it moored under the covered dock for easy access during your stay. The kids and grandpa can easily fish from the sea wall when you aren't on your boat. The water on this point is a great depth for enjoying tubing with the kids. The fire pit is near the water and there are many outdoor chairs you can use. Located at the end of a culdesac, this hometown neighborhood is safe and relaxing. This roomy two story 5 bedroom 3 bath 3300 sq ft house has room for 11 folks. The main floor has a modern fully equipped kitchen, large dinning area, great room with TV and enclosed sunroom. Also on this floor you will find a spacious master suite with queen bed and TV and a modern bathroom equipped with garden tube and large ceramic shower. There is also a queen bed guest room and a second bathroom in hallway. We provide all linens and towels and laundry room with washer and dryer. When we go to the lower level we find a kitchenette, dinning area, great/game room with TV, foosball, air hockey and round table for cards. We are located on the Little River area of the lake providing the cleanest water flow. Weiss Lake is excellent for all your water sport interests. You will also find a large parking area with plenty of room to park boats and cars. Little River Marina a full service marina with boat ramp, is less than 5 minutes away for your connivence. You will also have many restaurants and stores within 10-20 minutes driving time. The loft space is furnished with 2 queen beds. We keep 2 pack-n-plays on site with extra crib sheets for your convenience. The nearest boat ramp is at Bay Springs Marina (about 3 miles away) and there is a public boat ramp at Graves Landing (approx. 6 miles away). We began construction of our getaway several years ago, initially it was to be a small fishing escape but as family and friends began to visit we knew that we needed to build something that could accommodate more....and then it began. The home itself was recently completed and is beautiful. Cypress siding and decks outside provide a rustic setting. The interior of the house is equally as beautiful from the custom made cabinets in the well appointed kitchen to the hand carved staircase that leads to the upstairs bedrooms and loft. The kitchen also includes a large island for enjoying meals or telling lies about the one that got away. There is a large living area that includes a flatscreen TV. Three bedrooms with ample storage and an upstairs loft provide plenty of room to sleep or escape. The large screened in porch off the main deck is one of my favorite places to relax and watch ballgames. The dock is massive with two covered boatslips, full electrical hookups, and even a waterslide with an electric waterpump for the kids. The water is approximately 9 ft deep at full pool and maintains 2-3 ft of water at low pool in the winter providing fisherman with access to the main parts of the lake year round. The house has upscale design and finishes, and was professionally furnished and decorated. It is comfortable and homey, however, and we welcome pets. There is a covered dock down a stone path to the lake, where you can fish, tie up boats, or just sit in the large swing and enjoy the fabulous sunsets. The upstairs includes a large deck with seating, which opens onto the living room and master bedroom, as well as a very comfortable screened in porch. The downstairs opens onto a shaded porch. (Our only request: if you smoke, please do so in any of these areas, but not indoors.) There is an attached two car garage, with outdoor parking places for two more cars. We also have a built in RV hookup for electric, sewer and water. It is only 5 minutes to town, grocery, gas and every other kind of store; 5 minutes to the hospital and numerous churches, and even less than that to the nearby marina and boat launch. You wouldn’t guess it, however, as we are far back among the farms and cotton fields, near the end of a cul de sac, down a long driveway seemingly in the Alabama woods. We know that once you stay here, you’ll consider it, as we do, your own “sweet home Alabama.”

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is located on Cowan Creek at Weiss Lake in Northeast Alabama. The fully furnished home features spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Cowan Creek is a favorite location for wake boarding, kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing, and fishing. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed. There are twin beds in each of the other two bedrooms. And, there are twin beds in the loft. The great room also has a sleeper sofa. Towels and linens are provided. The kitchen is fully furnished and there is a washer/dryer in the laundry room. The home also has internet access (wifi), high-definition satellite TV and DVD player. There is a parking pad for a boat trailer or small RV and adequate parking for two additional vehicles in the driveway (garage is used for owner storage and is not accessible). The home has two exterior security cameras and one interior camera (which can be turned off for privacy).. The deck has adirondack chairs, and table with chairs. A gas grill is also available. There is a concrete walk down to the dock which has a power outlet for boat charges or other equipment and a fish cleaning station (the dock does not have lights). There are chairs on the dock. Two bedroom, one bath rustic cottage in the country across the road from Weiss Lake. This cottage is about three miles from Yellow Creek Falls and 15 minutes from the town of Centre, Alabama. Little River National Park is about a ten min drive also. Some guests enjoy fishing off the bank across the road. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and the smaller bedroom has a twin bed with a cot that is suitable for children or smaller adults. There is also a futon sofa in the living room and washer/dryer. There is no wifi and limited tv channels but there is a DVD player and a few family friendly movies that are there for our guests to enjoy. We have recently added a fire pit. Not wheelchair accessible. No animals with the exception of service animals. A small dog may be permitted with prior email approval. More guest may be allowed with prior email approval up to 5 total.

Dandelion Cottage is a rustic country cottage located on Gumwood Ranch about 8 miles North of Centre, Alabama and just across the road from Weiss Lake. Our guests appreciate the peace and quiet here on our 14+ acre place. It is a restful and enjoyable change from staying in town where there are lots of people, noise etc. The fishing here at Weiss Lake is general very good and Yellow Creek Falls and Fish camp about 2 miles away has a public boat ramp and dock area. We have a fish cleaning table with sink outside for easy clean up of your days catch. Note: We are across the road from the lake. Some of our guests walk across the road and fish from the bank. The main bedroom has a queen bed and second bedroom has a twin bed and also a nice comfortable cot which kids and smaller adults can use. We have a futon in the living room which could be used for additional sleeping accommodation or there are 2 camp cots which you may use if you bring your own sleeping bags. If you enjoy being out in the country but only 15 minutes from town, we think you will enjoy Dandelion Cottage and it would be our pleasure to welcome you. Please be aware that the cove we are in is shallow (about like the shallow end of a pool) which is great for younger guests and water volley ball etc. For deeper waters, simply swim or paddle out to the middle of the cove where it goes from 6-12 feet deep and beyond. Additionally, full disclosure: the water levels start to go down in mid October through March and that the view of water may be restricted during those times. You can always Kayak though!
